When the Creator call for Light it is safe to say the Darkness existed prior.
Day and Night are twin celestial beings that represent the cosmic balance between light and dark.

Day is personified in the body of a child. Night has the physicality and build of an olympic swimmer sometime in his late 20s.

The length of day is reflected in her hair, It becomes lusher and fuller and sometimes it covers her eyes.

The night ever seems to linger more than we want it to. This is reflected in the lengthening of the already elongated stature of Night

You should not dim your light for them.
Going blind is a small price to pay if they want to see the beauty that you are.

Thoughts

Inspired by the otherworldly grace and elegance of athletes, I designed these characters as a pair meant to complement each other. The soft, warm forms of Day contrast beautifully with the angular, cool forms of Night.

Day is the kind of friend who leaves you smiling long after a brief conversation. Her youthful exuberance is infectious, and her awe and wonder at the world is as radiant as her own inner light.

Night is quiet and reserved, his eyes still haunted by a lonely past spent without Day. He is fiercely protective of those he loves, and his presence has a dreamlike quality that blurs the lines between reality and illusion. A neutral being, he takes on the attributes of those who describe him, offering comfort to the lonely and dread to those already consumed by fear.

Together, Day and Night embody the perfect balance of light and darkness, warmth and coolness, joy and sorrow. They are two sides of the same coin, forever intertwined in a cosmic dance that sustains the universe.
